ENTRY FEE'S, VOTING, CONTEST RULES AND FINE PRINT...
Each entrant must pay a minimum $10 entry fee per photo submission.
If you pre-order a 2025 calendar in the entry process you will receive 5 free votes on your entry. You must pre-order your calendar(s) in the entry process to receive 5 free votes. If you enter the contest and pre-order your calendars from the standalone 2025 calendar pre-order page, you will not receive 5 free votes.
Submissions will be accepted on-line only from 10:00:00 AM (Pacific Time) on Saturday, June 22, 2024 to 11:59:59 PM (Pacific Time) on Monday, September 30, 2024. Photos can be voted on by the public during the submission period for $1 per vote (minimum $5).
You may enter as many photos as you desire.- Photos must be of companion animals only— no people. Photos of cats, dogs, horses, pigs, small mammals, farm animals and birds are accepted. Your pet does NOT have to be adopted from Fur & Feather Animal Sanctuary or a shelter animal to be eligible to enter this contest.
- All entries are required to list the name of the pet(s) pictured in the photo and a short bio.
- The same Pet can be entered into the contest multiple times, but votes will not be combined across multiple entries of the same pet. Each photo earns votes separately.
- All animals must be depicted in a humane and dignified manner. Pinch or choke collars will not be considered, nor will photos of visibly distressed animals.
Voters are prompted to make a donation (minimum 5 votes) at the time of voting. Entries will receive one vote for every $1 donated during the voting process.
After you submit your entry, you have the opportunity to ask your friends and family members to donate-to-vote by sending them the URL for your entry or using the "Tell-A-Friend" form when you log in to your account on the Contest website. Keep in mind that you cannot combine votes from separate photos/entries.- Voters do not have to use all votes at the time of donation. Upon donation, voters will be given the option of applying all of the votes to one image or storing the votes in an account. If voters choose to store votes, they can be accessed and voted with a User ID and password at any time during the contest voting period. All proceeds from the event will benefit special needs animals for their daily needs, medical and care, to include, but not limited to Fur & Feather Animal Sanctuary and supported rescue programs.
PHOTO FORMAT...
- Digital photos are recommended. Photos must be clear, of good quality and high resolution — 300 dpi or higher in TIFF or JPG format — and no greater than 5MB.
- Once a photo is submitted, it will appear in the online gallery on the Fur & Feather Animal Sanctuary Facebook, and be open to voting by the general public.
- All entries must be in color. No black and white photos will be accepted.
- We reserve the right to decline publication of any photograph for any reason. Should this happen, we will notify you and refund your entry fee if desired.
- We cannot accept Polaroid photos, copyrighted professional photographs or computer generated images.
- All photos become the property of the Fur & Feather Animal Sanctuary and may be used as needed at Fur & Feather Animal Sanctuary's discretion.
CALENDAR PHOTO SELECTIONS
- The calendar is a 13-month calendar [January 2025-January 2026] and the front and back cover.
- The top vote recipient will win the coveted cover photo and also be featured as the January 2025 pet.
- The following 12 recipients with the most votes will be eligible to have their pet featured as a full-page pet of the month and will be contacted by the Fur & Feather Animal Sanctuary.
- The back cover will depict the #14 to #26 place winners with honorary photos of their pets with special thanks.
