Meet Julia, she is a beautiful Pineapple Conure who came to Patty's Parrot Palace, a nonprofit avian sanctuary located in Central Florida, in 2011 from a breeder. Julia is smaller than your average conure and is unable to grasp perches due to a birth defect typically found in cage-bred birds. She is able to walk with a little wobble. Julia is one of our big eaters and is always ready to chow down! She spunky, loves to snuggle, give kisses and is always camera ready. Although she didn't make the cut with the breeder, she certainly has found a permanent and loving home with the flock at Patty's Parrot Palace. With Julia, we are able to remind our community how breeding birds outside of their natural environment can lead to serious birth defects and deficiencies affecting their lives.
