Pet's Story
My first dog, Binger, had passed away on November 5, 2012. I had adopted him when I was 23 and he lived a long life of 15 1/2 years. I adopted him from a shelter and decided that I would always rescue a dog. After he passed, I was beside myself. That is when a friend posted pictures of her new puppy that she adopted at an FSPCA adoption event. His name was Murphy and he looked just like Binger! It was a sign. We went online to the FSPCA site and saw a litter of puppies! There were so many. I fell in Java and my better half fell in love with Jewel. We contacted the FSPCA and I am pretty sure they thought I was crazy, as we live in Massachusetts! They allowed us to adopt Jewel and we drove down to VA and adopted Ru (Jewel)! She was/is the cutest thing! In May of 2013 we saw on the website that Java, her brother, was returned to the shelter after being neglected. FSPCA heard from me again! They transported him up to NJ for us and we adopted Ru's brother, who is now Po (Pono). It was just meant to be. The two pups are doing well in MA! I can't say enough about the FSPCA and how they have helped us complete our family with these two pups!
