Pet's Story
Last October, my wife and I, on a whim, decided to stop by the FSPCA. After moving from apartment to apartment we were finally renting a house and had plenty of space for the dog we had been wanting. However, since this was our first visit, we agreed that we were "only looking". Naturally, our plans changed almost instantly when we fell in love with the first dog we saw.

Zoe (formerly Trina) was found somewhere in Fluvanna with a collar but no tags. She was brought to the FSPCA where she waited for someone to claim her before she was put up for adoption. As fate would have it, one day up for adoption was all it took! When we opened the door to the kennels Zoe lit up instantly. She wagged her tail ferociously and jumped at the gate to ask for a pet. We took her out for a walk and suddenly knew we were not "just looking" anymore.

Now, Zoe spends most days sitting upright on the couch looking out the window, chewing dozens of bones, rough housing with us, and taking long family walks. She's also a perfect companion for our long car rides to Ohio to see family, both human and canine.

Zoe's been the perfect addition to our family, and we are overjoyed that we chose to stop at the FSPCA that day.
