Pet's Story
Austin (previously named Sunny) and his sister Cajun were removed from a nearby high-kill shelter 1 day before they were going to be put down. The Fluvanna SPCA saved them both. They both had kennel cough so were quarantined immediately after arriving in Fluvanna.

I saw 'Sunny' on the pet finder website and knew immediately that I wanted to meet him. I was hesitant to get a boy dog because I grew up with female dogs, but the moment I met him I felt a connection. He had such a calm temperament and gave me kisses the moment I met him.

I took him home a week later after getting neutered and recovering from the kennel cough. My life has changed for the better since bringing Austin home. He has brought so much happiness into my life and makes me smile everyday. Adopting Austin was the best decision I've ever made.

I'm happy to report that Cajun, Austin's black coated sister, was also adopted shortly after.
