My Dog's Story
September of 2016 the most adorable pic collage came across our facebook newsfeed. Posey's journey started as a stray that was picked up and taken to the MCDP. She was a resident at the pound for 12 months per the Friends of Fido post. She is beautiful, and looked so sweet; we couldn't understand why she had been waiting for a home for so long. So we went to see her and got a 1st hand experience as to why she had been waiting.

Miss. Posey, like so many other dogs, does not do well in a shelter environment. With the shelter stressors Posey was reactive making it difficult to find adopters.

Fortunately, we could see past her behaviors and the rumors of her mischievous antics which occasionally landed her in the kennel managers office at times. LOL! We knew there was a great dog behind all that leash pulling and barking so we adopted her!

Since adopting Posey she has learned so many things. She attends group classes at Dogsmartz Unleashed learning obedience and new tricks. She truly enjoys classes and has learned to push a cart, pivot on a bucket, and to wave just to name a few.

Posey is so loving and wishes nothing more than to snuggle with her family and be loved. She is also quite the clown making everyone laugh! We couldn't imagine our world without her and we are so thankful to Friends of Fido for taking such good care of her during her extended MCDP stay.
