What makes me special
Carmen was our foster dog, but we just couldn’t let her go. The vet’s notes described her as the “sweetest girl.” If there’s an empty spot on the couch, she won’t settle for it—she must lie right on top of you. She loves to cuddle, and you can’t walk past her without getting a kiss. Berkley, our 2-year-old black lab, was also adopted from a shelter. We can’t even have a fake Christmas tree in the house because he tries to dismantle it, just like he does to the shrubbery when he’s outside. Together, they cannot be trusted and make the perfect Bonnie and Clyde duo, but the everlasting laughter and joy they bring are more than worth it.
