Ellie Sky + Brinny Lou = BFFs

What’s better than one Cleveland City Dog? Obviously, two.

Ellie (adopted August 2024 by Jillian) and Brinny (adopted December 2023 by Jenny) have become quick friends. Their moms, who met through a professional industry group several years ago, bonded over their love of bully breeds. Jillian volunteers regularly at a local animal shelter and Jenny holds several donation and volunteer events through her employer for City Dogs and other local shelters.

Shortly after meeting Brinny, Jillian was convinced she needed one too. With an average of 5 texts per day for well over a month, Jenny finally found the future Ellie Sky that Jillian had her heart set on. And while Jillian swore she was just going to City Dogs to “look around,” Jenny knew the moment she received a FaceTime call that evening that Jillian had also experienced love at first sight.

At their first introduction, Ellie literally screamed with excitement while Brinny may have dislocated her mom’s elbow trying to get that first sniff. Their connection was instant.

Ellie and Brinny are all play when they’re together (to the point they will lay on the floor continuing to paw and mouth one another in an effort not to be the first to give in). The girls always have that famous pittie smile while running around the yard or wrestling in the house. They bring out the best in one another and sleep for several days after their play dates.
