Pet's Story or Bio
It's plain and simple. My brother adopted this dog and another one straight from the local SPCA, and the other dog almost killed her, so my brother had to pawn the dog off on my mom. At first my mom hated it, but now more than a year later Roxie is her best friend. Roxie used to always growl and intimidate me and a lot of other people, and she once bit a neighbor for reaching down to pet her too fast. But because of the love and patience shown by my mother, Roxie has not only won the heart of my mother, but has won me over as well, and has conquered her distrust of people one layer at a time. I'm as thrilled now to see Roxie as she is to see me when I visit my mom in PA. I consider Roxie a part of my family now, and she is trusted with being my moms watch dog and friend. After my mom's brother died of cancer, my mother who is divorced, and has already lost both of her parents, was left alone. Roxie has done a great job filling that empty void left in my mothers heart. It's hard to think that someone discarded this beautiful, loyal, and trusted animal. The magic my mom has worked with Roxie is one of the greatest miracles I've ever seen.
