Tell Us About Your Pet
Kenny was the love of my life. I lost him unexpectedly to a stomach tumor on September 26th of this year. The tumor had gone undetected and he had no symptoms. Kenny taught me that having a bestie with four legs is one of the most powerful and inspiring things on earth. There is nothing better than being unabashedly loved by a dog.

I spent 11 years with my sweet boy and although he was not animal friendly, he loved his family, car rides and road trips to Michigan with hotel stays and McDonald's hamburgers. Kenny was quirky, but kind, and loved living life--a mighty squirrel chaser with a true heart of gold. He was a special boy.

What makes your pet unique or special?
Kenny claimed me as his person and it was one of the greatest honors of my life. I learned about unconditional love from Kenny and I will be forever grateful for that lesson. He also taught me to not sweat the small stuff and to LIVE LIFE!!

As we said good-bye to Kenny on September 26th I sang You Are My Sunshine to him like I did every morning of his life. As he drifted off to the Rainbow Bridge he was with the two people who loved him the most. Kenny will be forever in our hearts and never forgotten. He truly was the love of my life.

What is your pet’s favorite hobby?
Kenny was a squirrel chaser and LOVED playing with his toys (he had over 100). They were, "his babies" and he never destroyed one. He bathed them with gentle love nips, repositoned them around the house. He was so kind to all, "his babies."

Kenny's two best traits were his post squirrel chasing smile and the amazing hugs that he gave to the people he loved. They went straight to your soul and truly made you a better person.

Why did you enter this contest?
Kenny had recently had a TPLO surgery (May 21st) and we were well aware of the high cost of veterinary care. Helping families who love their pets like I love Kenny means the world to me. Kenny's sweet face will be the vehicle to help save the lives of more pets who need emergency or specialty care.

Why did you choose to support Frankie's Friends?
Pets are family and Frankie's Friends gets that. With the current cost of veterinary care, it is important to have organizations like Frankie's Friends that help cover the cost of emergency and specialty services for pets.

Why should people vote for your pet?
By honoring Kenny's memory you are saving the lives of family pets in need. I know Kenny will be wagging his tail at the Rainbow Bridge at the thought of other loved family pets getting the help that they need.
