Tell Us About Your Pet
Brie-a-saurus Rex is the definition of resilience and beauty! She is an abuse survivor that unfortunately lost an eye and suffered from a broken jaw a result of the trauma, but it has never impacted her heart or ability to love. She is fiercely loyal to her family and enjoys putting the kiddos to bed in her home every night. Although she's dressed as an alligator, she's never even growled at anyone and is the most loving, affectionate, devoted dog we've ever rescued. She exudes kindness and shows us that dogs truly are better than people.

What makes your pet unique or special?
Brie has never let the abuse she endured define her or break her spirit. She was hit with a 2x4 in the head while she was pregnant with 10 puppies and bears the scars of the violence she miraculously survived. She suffers from frequent seizures as a result of the trauma, but that has never changed her ability to love unconditionally.

What is your pet’s favorite hobby?
Brie's favorite hobby is being in the center of any room her family is in. Wherever they go, she goes, too. If her family is playing board games on the floor, she lays next to them and watches every move. If they're watching movies on the couch, she loves snuggling with them, too. If the kids are in the bathtub, Brie loves sitting on the floor of the bathroom and hearing them laugh and play. If the kids are in their rooms reading bedtime stories, she loves laying on the floor and being a part of these nightly interactions. Her favorite hobby is being an integral, beloved part of the family.

Why did you enter this contest?
We entered Brie in this contest to inspire people to overcome obstacles, choose kindness in the face of adversity, and to help pets in need of lifesaving veterinary care.

Why did you choose to support Frankie's Friends?
We know that specialty veterinary care is incredibly expensive and Brie is fortunate to have a family that's able to provide for the neurologist visits and monthly medications she needs to live as normal of a life as possible, but that isn't the case for many loving families. We chose to support Frankie's Friends to help family-loved pets in need of lifesaving emergency and specialty care like Brie, but whose families may not be able to afford that care.

Why should people vote for your pet?
A vote for Brie is a vote for hope. She shows us that you can survive horrific situations and offer hope, joy, kindness, devotion, and love in spite of all odds. She is our hero, she is our inspiration, she is our joy.
