Pet's Story or Bio
I was lucky to find Ollie on Next Door. He was more than a recently single mom with two young children could handle, so she offered him for adoption. He’s a Bichon Poodle, now six. He joined my home three years ago. I was looking for a dog to keep company with my Maltipoo Rubie, who recently lost her sibling Simon. Sadly, Rubie died two months later. And so Ollie was there to kept ME company.

He’s a great companion, who accompanies me everywhere— the grocery, the nail and hair salons and even at the dentist! He’s also very patient when I shop. He’ll lay prone, or sit, waiting for me to finish.

Everyone loves Ollie! He makes friends easily. When someone says, “My dog doesn’t like other dogs,” I smile, knowing that dog will like Ollie! With one sniff, that’s what happens!

And his eyes? They’re “people eyes.” People often comment about them. He looks right at you.

I wish Ollie would snuggle with me in bed. But he’s too independent for that. He prefers his own bed. I guess I’ll have to be okay with that choice. Because in the car, he sits next to me on the passenger seat and lets me pet him at every opportunity. (Of course, I pet Ollie only when it’s safe! He’s my most valuable cargo!)

Since he’s an only dog, Ollie enjoys his stuffed friends at home. His favorite is an ostrich. He’ll throw his long-legged friend up in the air and catch him, again — and again — and again!

He’s a picky eater. I feed him only the best dog food with natural ingredients. His favorite food is MY turkey bacon! Ollie gets rewarded with a small piece when he’s finished his own bowl of food.

My life is fuller and happier with Ollie. I cherish every day, knowing how short are the lives of our beloved animal friends.
