Pet's Story or Bio
I'm the blonde dog on the right, and my name is Spike. The black big girl is Tayla, and she’s my baby sister. Our mom runs Forte, and she caught me on the street when I was running around loose in 2010. I even tried biting her, but she got me anyway. She scanned my microchip and found my family, but they said they didn’t want me anymore after they had me for 5 years since I was a baby puppy (whaaa?).

Mom had two other dogs, and we made a great pack, but our pack leader Valentino left for the rainbow bridge in 2012, and my sister Pollyanna followed him in 2015. I was totally devastated after her passing and didn’t want another canine sibling or didn’t care about anything anymore. Then 9 months later, someone brought Tayla and insisted that mom keep her and not adopt her out, or they’d bring her back to where she was rescued from (whaaa?). How could mom let any dog go back to a bad situation?

I never expected another dog to make me smile again, but she’s such a goofball, and here we are 2 years later. She thinks I’m god and waits for my cue for everything. Without me, she’s totally clueless. Tayla is only 5, but I’m going on 14 next May, so I have to stay healthy and live a long life to take care of her.

Mom says this is a good thing because I was really checking out when Pollyanna left, and everybody thinks that even though my face turned white, I’m 5 years younger after Tayla came to us, and in fact, I still out run everybody in the park.

So, this is our story in a nutshell, and for all mom did for us and 1,500 other dogs Forte rescued, it’s our turn to return the favor, and we need your help. Please vote for us and spread the word!
