Comments/Description/Why Your Husky or Husky Mix Photo Should Win
In May, my daughter’s friend got a call that a friend (a nyc police officer) was called to rescue 2 Huskies that were found tied to a tree for a little over a week in Corona Park with a then empty bowl of water. For the officer tried to identify the owners and have them placed in a shelter but there were no takers. Originally my daughter was persuaded to foster them and find homes for them: 8 hrs later it was determined a foster failure as we decided to keep them. From May-July we took them to the vet for shots, scheduling neuter/spay, and microchipping. Each time my daughter asked if the female, Sable, was pregnant…they said no. Until late July Sable was putting on muscle, keeping healthy weight, and enjoying her new life in our home. Then on a Monday she, seemingly overnight, became rotund. Tuesday at the vet it was determined Sable was pregnant. We had “2 days to 2 weeks”. The next night she gave birth in my daughter’s bedroom to 7 healthy puppies. Little Valentine is the youngest. His brother’s and sisters have been adopted into wonderful families. Valentine should win because of the spectacular circumstances that surrounded his debut into this world. He is a sweet, goofy, and loving puppy.
