Comments/Description/Why Your Husky or Husky Mix Photo Should WinWe've been rescuing Huskies for 35 years. My first experience, was with my white 6 mouth-old Lucy, I rescued out of a local dog-pound. I was in for the steepest learning-curve I've ever experienced with anything. It took a ton of patience, love, and trying to understand what made her tic. Slowly, over a couple years, she showed me her intellect, faithfulness, and love. A few years later, a girlfriend, new home, and more room....we decided to rescue a red female from the local paper. She was going to the pound, soon. Her name was Harley[YUK], and we quickly changed it to Haley. She was a handful, and aggressively defensive. Again, patience and love overcame her issues. Her and Lucy were best buds. My now wife and I decided to move again, for more room and privacy. About 2 years later, my next-door neighbor calls me to tell me one of my Huskies is trying to tear into his rabbit's pen. I told him my dogs were in the house, but I'd come over. A beautiful 3-4 year-old male is on the porch with the neighbor, and he wants it outta there. I take him home, and begin the search for his real home. 6 months later, we knew he was ours. We'd been calling him "Bud"....so we just called him Budlee. So our pack now was 3-strong. They all got-on very well, and were an absolute joy to have as our fuzzy-kids. We lost Lucy at 18, to back problems. We lost Haley at 16 to a brain aneurism. We lost Bud at 12 to an auto-immune disorder. We loved and miss each of them, daily. No two are the same, and all wonderful.
Our pack continues.....
Rescue Shout OutWe found all 3, on our own. Shout-out....to us.
