Comments/Description/Why Your Husky or Husky Mix Photo Should Win
First, we've been rescuing Huskies for 35 years. Bud was our 3rd, and was dumped by home. I believe it was because we had Huskies. He was groomed, bathed, and chipped[not registered] We tried for many months to find his home, to no avail. Many years later, we had lost our first 2 girls. Bud was a wreck, and I went and rescued 2 more females. Sonya was brought into the new pack, and Bud took to her in a big way. His heartbreak was replaced with joy, 2 sisters and one a love. Sonya came from a county shelter, and was the worst-case/health wise of any we'd had. She had kennel-cough, intestinal parasites, was 30-40% underweight...and when we took her in for spaying, her x-rays showed her entire right-side [including her face] was full of bird-shot. She was a lover, after all that. Go-figure. We had Budlee for about 8 years, before he lost his fight to an auto-immune issue, at 12. Sonya turned out to be a super healthy girl, and lost her battle to age, at 18 1/2. We've loved all our fuzzy-kids. They're all extremely different, smart, and loyal and loving companions. We really miss these two. We'll always love our "Buster-Brown" and "Miss Sonya-Bologna".
