Comments/Description/Why Your Husky or Husky Mix Photo Should WinOskar was a one in a billion dog. He left us very suddenly on August 29, 2021. He was romping and exploring for hours on the 28th, he declined later that evening. I had to say goodbye to my sweet boy on the 29th after the vet found a massive tumor on his tummy, spleen, liver and colon. He had been hiding it for quite a while. His ashes, his collar, and my photos and videos are all I have now. For 6 of his 12 years, he was my rock, he was my best friend, my companion, my pride and joy, and suddenly he's gone. I want to share his beautiful picture with you and the Forever Husky members, he was a beautiful dog with the biggest smile. He was so full of love and sass. He taught me to enjoy the little things in life, like venturing down to the river and lifting your head to the sun with a big smile, just content and at peace, just like this picture. Oskar was my first dog, and he was there with me through some very dark times. When I needed a hand, when I needed something special, I reached out and found his paw. He has left a massive hole in our home and our hearts and I will never forget that joyful, contagious smile. I pray he is running wild and free in an everlasting winter, his favourite season, his element. I would greatly appreciate if you could consider his photo, he was a truly special dog.
Rescue Shout OutI adopted Oskar from Finding Them Homes James Bay Pawsitive Rescue in Barrie, Ontario. From their professional conduct to their fantastic relationships with the Northern communities they assist in, Finding Them Homes is a top notch rescue with a glowing reputation! Adopting Oskar was a thorough, but smooth process, and it was the best decision I ever made. I am so happy I chose to adopt Oskar from this rescue, they have been an amazing source of support during the time since his passing.
