Comments/Description/Why Your Husky or Husky Mix Photo Should WinSnow is a sled dog. Snow is alive because a small group of people decided to form Operation Sled Dogs in response to the Whistler Sled Dog case. Snow was one of the first group of dogs helped by OSD, and came to Fort McMurray as one of three foster on a mission called 'Huskies Heading Home'. I thought that I was going to help rehome 3 dogs but when Snow jump off of the truck that brought him 8000km across Canada, scared and scarred I knew that the only place Snow was going was into my own home. He is my heart dog, he is why rescue does what it does. After 4 years, Snow still works on his confidence daily, learning to trust people, learning that he is loved (very much) and understanding what it is to be a dog - to play with toys and having regular meals, to be comforted when he is unsure of things and that when he is sick he will be looked after. This is one of the few pictures I have of Snow, he is terrified of the camera. This is a picture of the Snow I know - happy, loving, and carefree - it is a picture of what I want for him each and every day.
