A little about me...
Meet Pearl. Little is known of the circumstances that took her people away from her home in Blanco, TX. For whatever reason she was left behind. Pearl stayed put at the vacant home, somehow surviving on her own. Eventually she was noticed by Pamela, a local animal lover & advocate who then made regular food & water deliveries to Ms. Pearl. Pamela introduced friend Deda to Pearl. Deda felt special when Pearl ran up & enthusiastically greeted her. Irresistible Pearl sealed the deal! She became a delightful member of her new family with Deda & two other happy dogs, Marko & Jasper. By the way, Deda later observed that Ms. Pearl greeted everyone with the same smiley exuberance...so much for being special!
Pearl loved to swim. Her rather plump booty was quite buoyant, keeping that happy girl afloat with little effort. Like the Riverboat Queen she was. Big smile on her face, paddling here & there on the Blanco river, she'd just go & go with no particular destination. She was a happy girl & well loved.
I took this picture of Perl at her home in Blanco. To be with Pearly for even a few minutes was a gift. RIP Ms. Pearl. Seeing her face puts a smile on mine.
