Tony had been relinquished not once but twice in his life! Once as a young dog and again as a mature adult around 7 years. When we adopted him, he had been waiting at FOHA for a forever home for a year and a half. We could not understand how this handsome, sweet boy had not been adopted, other than his age. But lucky for us, he was there when we came looking and we are grateful that FOHA had kept him safe where other shelters would not have. Tony loved to race around in our big fenced yard and herd people and things. He was terrified of thunderstorms and needed extra comforting. He attended “Yappy hours” and birthday parties with other neighborhood dogs and their human companions. He was quite simply the best. Tony passed in 2019. We miss his quiet presence and silky, spotted ears every day.
