A little about me...
We adopted River from HSNCF as a puppy. She had been rescued from a flooded rural area very early in life, along with her brother. That might have been a formative experience for her, because she is fearless and seems to think she can overcome any obstacle. We love her name (thanks Humane Society!) because we think her coat looks like water running over river pebbles, i.e. her spots. She is super expressive, making all kinds of different vocalizations that have different meanings, and some of them sound very human-like. Most of the time, she will only eat her food at the same time as the rest of us. So we think she feels like a part of the family, and she definitely brings a lot of personality!
