Rules

• To enter the contest, you must register using your personal email address and a password of your choice. Entry is a $10 donation.
• Submit the most adorable photo of your fantastic feline that you can find - or take a new one!
• No photo collages.
• In addition to your photo, we’ll ask you:
  • Cat’s Name
  • If the kitty is a FFGW rescue (y/n)
  • To tell us a little about your cat
• Your cat does NOT have to be adopted from the Feline Foundation of Greater Washington (FFGW) to be eligible to enter the contest.
• The entry with the most votes will win the calendar cover and the entries with the 2nd - 13th most votes will be featured as a “Cat of the Month”.
• The submission and voting window is from 9:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Thursday, August 15, 2024 until 9:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.

• Share your cat's link via email or on social media with your friends and family.
• Ask them to vote and explain that their votes help FFGW save lives and cover vetting costs.
• Remember - you have about four weeks to get as many votes as possible!
• $1.00 = 1 Vote (minimum $5 vote purchase) 

• Who can appear in your photos?
  • People? No.
  • Cats? Yes.
  • Multiple cats? Yes.
  • Cats with a dog or another animal friend? Yes.
• Submitted photos must be high quality in a generally accepted file format (JPEG, TIFF, PNG).
• Photos that are high resolution (width greater than 2400 pixels, height greater than 1800 pixels) will display best in the calendar. A file size of 2-3 MB (megabytes) and 300 dpi would be considered excellent quality. If you are using a mobile phone camera, please be sure your photo meets these standards.
• Photos should be in landscape (horizontal) format to be considered for a month spread in the calendar.
• Photos with professional photographer watermarks will not be eligible to be included in the calendar.
• Photos should be full color, and not heavily filtered. Photos deemed offensive or obscene will be removed from the contest.
• Since we can't guarantee on which month each winning photo will appear, it's usually a good idea to avoid photos with holiday themes. 

Each vote is $1 and counts for 1 vote. There is no limit to the number of votes you may cast, but you must cast a minimum of 5 votes at a time for a minimum charge of $5. You may vote for your own photo and you may spread your votes across multiple cats. Online voting begins as soon as the photo is registered and ends at 9:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.

Don't have a cat to submit but want to vote for one of the adorable kitties already entered? No problem. Just browse all the photos submitted and vote for your favorite feline! The 13 kitties getting the most votes will be featured as the cover cat or cat of the month in the 2025 calendar. 

• The contest is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia, and US territories who are 18 years of age or older.
• Once entered, photos become the property of the Feline Foundation of Greater Washington (FFGW) and may be used for online, print, and marketing purposes.
• Feline Foundation of Greater Washington (FFGW) is a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations for entry and voting are non-refundable and are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. Your confirmation email serves as a tax receipt.
• If the winning photo does not meet the calendar formatting or quality criteria, FFGW will work with the winner to highlight the photo in another FFGW channel, and/or arrange to use a different photo of the same cat(s) that would meet the criteria.
• Winners will be notified by email or phone.
