Snap your pet photos and collect those votes! Please join Ferndale Kiwanis and local Ferndale pet store, UKUSCAdoggie, in raising money
to provide high schoolers in our area with college scholarships, support community events, and donate to local non-profits with the same mission to serve children and our community. The Ferndale Kiwanis Club was formed in 1972, approaching our 50
th anniversary this January! Kiwanis is an organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. We have helped organize many activities to further our mission of helping children right here in Ferndale, WA and Whatcom County.
A sampling of our service projects include: Sponsoring a Boy Scout Troop, granting scholarships to local high school students, honoring a Student and Teacher of the Month throughout the school year, displaying flags on Main Street for all flag days, hosting a Senior Dinner and Fishing Derby, and more!
We raise funds each year and disperse them to local youth-focused organizations. Some past recipients include: Boy Scouts, Whatcom Center for Early Learning, YMCA, and the Boys & Girls Club. Thanks to our generous sponsors, donors, and participants like YOU - the majority funds raised through this campaign will go toward Ferndale Kiwanis projects. Partial funds will be donated to
Animals as Natural Therapy (ANT). We are grateful for the opportunity to financially assist ANT in offering healing and mental health programs for at-risk youth, veterans, and elders via animal-assisted programs teaching: respect for self and others, healthy boundaries, self-management, empathy, and clear communication.
