Piper (formerly Oakley) joined our family in March at about 8 months old. She had a rough start to life, was seized by humane agents and required surgery for an embedded collar. She has provided an immeasurable amount of joy, energy and love to our household. She has brought our shy and anxious 6 year old dog out of her shell and our 2 year old son asks for her the minute he wakes up in the morning.

In this picture, life couldn’t be better. She just left the dog park and is feeling the sun on her face and wind blowing through her floppy ears.
