How to Enter
All competition entries must be submitted online using the website platform:
gogophotocontest.com/FairfieldMuseumIMAGES2022.
Artists in these categories may submit their work for consideration under the following subjects:
Landscape, Portrait, Nature, Abstract, and
Architecture.
Artists may submit up to 10 images as either a Professional/Serious Amateur or Student photographer (active student under 24 years of age). The museum will not accept dropped-off entries.
Image resolution and file size requirements:
- Resolution: minimum 300 PPI (DPI)
- File size: maximum 10000 kB
Images are submitted online, one entry and one payment per transaction. This avoids title, file, and photographer confusion. Each entry is paid for separately.
Do not attempt to bulk upload or bulk pay for your entries. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience. Eligibility
Open to residents of Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.
Deadline
All entries must be received by 11:59:59 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, March 20, 2022.
Entry Donation Fees
$10 per image entry. Entries must be uploaded separately and paid for separately, at the time of online submission, and through the online submission process. Entries cannot be submitted without payment.
If you are a Student and the cost of entry is a barrier to submitting your photography to the IMAGES contest, please contact the Museum to request a fee waiver. You can reach us directly at

You may also participate in the voluntary
Donate-to-Vote, which helps the Fairfield Museum defray the cost of this online photo submission website.
The winner of Donate-to-Vote will receive a gift package from the Fairfield Museum. Votes are cast by making a donation ($1 = 1 vote). The photograph that received the most Donate-to-Vote support will be recognized at the opening of the IMAGES 2022 Juried Photography Show.
The Donate-to-Vote is entirely voluntary and has no influence on the jury's selection of photographs for IMAGES 2022.Notification
Photographers selected for the IMAGES 2022 exhibition will be notified by email on or shortly after Wednesday, April 6, 2022.
Photographers not selected will be notified by email on or shortly after Friday, April 8, 2022.
Presentation/Delivery of Selected Work
Works selected by the judges must be delivered to the Fairfield Museum for exhibition no later than 4pm on Sunday, May 1, 2022.
Please include your name and the title of your work
on the back of the print or frame.
Exhibition photographs may be hand delivered or shipped in flat, reusable cardboard boxes, with bubble wrap. Please, no packing peanuts. Works will be returned in their original packaging. All return shipments will be sent via UPS 5-day ground
. Artists who wish to have the Fairfield Museum return their work are required to enclose a pre-paid UPS return shipping receipt when sending selected work. Hand delivered work that is not picked up by the deadline will not be returned and left at the artist's own risk.
Selected photographers will deliver exhibition prints prepared as follows:
Students: Matted only. White mat only, with a minimum 1" wide edge. The total overall dimensions of your work must be 14" x 18". Matted print will be displayed in acrylic mount of same dimension provided by the museum.
Professional/Serious Amateur: Matted and framed with glass/plexi and hanging wire secured about 1/3 from top. Outside frame dimensions not to exceed 600 square inches. Please, no canvas prints. Acrylic and/or metal prints are acceptable; please supply proper hanging hardware.
Sales
Photographs will not be offered for sale during the exhibition. However, information on how to contact the exhibited artists will be made available to visitors upon request.
Reproductions/Copyright
Submission for entries acknowledges the right of the Fairfield Museum to reproduce any selected work for its promotional and publicity purposes.
Liability/Insurance
Insurance for artwork in transit is the responsibility of the individual artist. The Fairfield Museum will insure works on its premises.
