Dog's Story or Bio
Hi I'm Zealand! I”m a Wirehaired Vizsla and although my wiry “facial furnishings” haven't come in my mom says I'm perfect. She brought me to Durango for a life of adventure and at only 11 months old it's been like WOW what a ride! I've chased after fall leaves and white flakes that fell from the sky, leaped and burrowed through deep snow that later melted like magic and now I'm learning to be a good trail dog. I'm quite the athlete and with my long legs mom says I run like a gazelle! We'll start mountain biking soon as I'm a little older. I LOVE the water and mom is teaching me to SUP which is a blast especially when I fall off the board. I'm like whoa, who knew I could swim?! My other favorite pass time is learning scent tracking. I will be competing in Nose Work for fun by fall and can't wait to out sniff the big dogs! FUN FACT: I won the Powder Hound Photo Contest last winter and raised over $1,500 for the La Plata County Humane Society. We love to support local animal rescue.
