Your Pet's Bio/Story
Our good friend, Jane Taber found Turkey, originally named Coco Chanel, (but we think Turkey is much more fitting, especially with all her quirks) on Thanksgiving last year. After following her for 30 minutes, Jane cornered Turkey in a school parking lot. Luckily Jane was wearing thick gloves because Turkey did not come willingly. We met Turkey that night after Thanksgiving dinner when we stopped by Jane's house for an after dinner cocktail. My boyfriend and I immediately fell in love with her. She came home with us that night and spent the whole next day passed out on the couch next to me, she was exhausted. It turns out Turkey was being fostered for the Denver Dumb Friends League by a lovely couple when she got out, she had been on the streets for the week leading up to Thanksgiving and it had snowed heavily that week so we were surprised she was still alive. She wasn't completely unscathed, she did have a gash on her leg and some frostbite but she is one tough little girl. We call her 'Streets' when she gets feisty because she can definitely hold her own not matter what size the other dog is.
