When does voting close?
Voting closes on August 6 at 5 p.m.
How do I know if I won?
The winners of each category will be announced via email. You can also check the
leaderboards to see how well your pet is doing. Remember, only the top 5 dogs, top 4 cats, top 2 horses, and top 1 small mammal/ reptile with the most votes will be featured as Pet of the Month models.
When will I get my calendar?
We will mail calendars in October 2018.
My pet is microchipped, so why does my photo need to show my pet wearing a collar and tags?
As your local animal shelter, we feel it is important to promote responsible pet ownership via collars and tags. It is really hard to photograph a microchip! For the Pet of the Month photos, our staff will make a case-by-case determination about photos, as we do understand that there are certain angles and fur that don't allow collars to be easily seen. If we love your photo but your pet does not have a collar and tag, we will Photoshop them in.
Can I drop off my entry or votes at your shelter?
Yes, entries and votes may be dropped off in person at our Quebec Street Shelter no later than 1:00 p.m. MDT on August 6, 2018.
How do I enter the contest via mail?
If you're mailing in your photo, we can accept 4" x 6" prints or larger, preferably in a horizontal format for design purposes. Mailed photos should be sent to the address below, along with the
