Please describe in detail how this nominee stands out among the other peer mentors in your program.
Mary Beth has worked as an academic coach for several students in American Sign Language, Math, and Special Education. She encourages students and helps them to stay on top of their assignments. In addition to academic coaching, Mary Beth has also worked as a social coach; however, her peers emphasize that they consider her to be a true friend. She has helped our students expand their social circle by inviting other friends to join their social events together. She has especially helped our first-year students as they get adjusted to campus, planning weekly dinners and lunches with several students. Mary Beth is an excellent peer coach and a great representative of PACE and SJU.
