Enter your favorite photo of your doxie or doxies to win one of 12 coveted spots in the 2015 DRBC Calendar and 2014 Fall Video.
This contest is open to anyone. Your photo entry does not have to be of a DRBC rescue. We love all dachshunds and welcome entries from all dachshund owners.
We encourage you to share your entry and encourage others to vote, vote, vote!
Contest Entry
You must submit a photo of your dog(s) and include:
- Name of Dog
- Your Name
- Your Email
- Your City and State
- A paragraph that tells voters something fun or interesting about the dog in the photo. Is this a DRBC dog? If so, how long has he or she been a part of your family? Can you share something special that we could include on our calendar if your photo wins?
All photos must be uploaded. Sorry, we cannot accept hard copies.
Multiple entries are encouraged and honorary doxies are welcome too. Dogs do not have to be rescue to enter.
Photos must be high resolution (to work for the video) or they will be returned and donations refunded.
All submitted photos will be shared out on the DRBC page on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram Pages!
All entries must be the original work of the entrant. You must own the copyright to the photograph.
Contest & Voting Fees
Each entry is a $10 tax deductible donation to DRBC.
Contest begins August 11, 2014 at 12:01AM EST and ends August 31, 2014 at 12 Midnight!
Voting begins September 1, 2014 at 12:01AM EST and ends October 31, 2014 at 12 Midnight!
When commenced, each vote is $1, sold in blocks of $5 (to keep our accountant from taking the ledge). There is no limit to the number of votes one may cast, but you must cast a minimum of 5 votes at a time for a minimum charge of $5. You may vote for your own photo and you may spread your votes across multiple dogs. The top 12 vote getters will appear in our 2015 calendar and the top 50 photos will be featured in our 2014 Fall video!
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded based on voting totals. Calendar and video placement will be made as described below.
Due to the limitations of our computer tabulating system, there can be up to a 15-minute delay between when a donation is received/recorded and when it is reflected in the leaderboard. All gifts received before 12:00PM EST will be honored. The leaderboard results are official.
Calendar Awards
The top 12 Calendar Girls and Boys will be featured in the 2015 DRBC Calendar! The DRBC Calendar will be available for sale in Mid-Fall 2014.
Video Awards
The top 50 Calendar Girls and Boys will be featured in the 2014 Fall DRBC Video! The Fall video will feature the winning doxies [or honorary doxies]. Their stories and photos will be released in a single video produced by DRBC in conjunction with the sale of the 2015 Calendar. Downloads will be available on the DRBC Website and on YouTube at no cost.
Miscellaneous
DRBC reserves the right to modify or clarify any of the contest rules during the term of the contest without advance notice.
Dachshund Rescue of Bucks County & NJ [DRBC] is a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible. All donations are non-refundable.
DRBC reserves the right to use any photos submitted for marketing purposes.
