I think it was fate the day I went to the wrong Post Office to pick up mail for my mom. Overhearing the mail lady asking her coworkers if anyone wanted a puppy, she looked at me and asked, "Do you want a dachshund puppy? I have 2 left. They're 9 weeks old. " When I told her I couldn't buy one right now, she said, "As long as you can love her and take care of her, there is no charge". Needless to say, the rest is history. She is a lover, protector, snuggler, cuddler, light-chaser, and has the ability to make a nest out of anything she can possibly find.
