My daughter , Jess and I were visiting her sister in Manhattan. As we strolled down a street , Jess noticed a rescue located down the stairs below a store front. As we entered a volunteer exclaimed, “ We have the dog for you!” How he knew Jess always wanted a dachshund,I’ll never know. But this started her absolute love for her little mighty. She went on to adopt Molly while we were on vacation on the cape . This time an older gentlemen was walking with Molly and Jess stopped to say hello . The man said he was looking for a home for her since Molly belonged to is sister who’s health deteriorated to the point she could no longer care for her. So, you guessed it. Another much adored addition to our family. Sometimes things are meant to be.
