Gracie Hope is our baby!! She is a happy-go-lucky sheepadoodle who lives every day to its fullest! She was only hours away from a very different ending to her story when she was rescued into the DDR family of angels! Her foster parents did a great job with her initially. She was so skinny and hungry....and she was very injured with horrible back wounds some thought were intentional burns. Her infected back must have been very painful....but, to everyone's dismay...she would hold still during her wound care and seemed to know her rescuers wanted to help! The day DDR called to say we were chosen as her new family...Gracie won the Doggie Lottery!!! She now spends her days running and playing, chasing lizards, giving non-stop sloppy kisses, cuddling and constantly wiggling her bootie nub!!! Her back wounds have now healed, leaving her with a distinctive scar. Seeing this scar reminds us everyday how lucky she is!
