We are taking part in “Doin’ the Classics” because we know that Green Bay needs wonderful art venues like The Art Garage. Over the years we’ve enjoyed exhibitions and shows there. In 2017, Jeremy had the pleasure of appearing in Theatre Z’s production of Sordid Lives at The Art Garage. We chose this Van Gogh self-portrait because we knew we’d have fun with the bandage, the hat, and the pipe. We had a little trouble deciding how to produce the “smoke effect” without actually lighting up the pipe. We decided to simply draw the smoke on the construction paper behind Bob’s head, and that turned out pretty well.
