What can I say about Sammie who was with me for 13 years? There are so many stories! Sammie left this world a few weeks ago and it was so her to do it fighting the whole way and to exit with a big bang! Sammie is being entered in the contest posthumously because if any dog deserves to be on a bottle of bourbon, it’s this one!

Sammie was a pain in the butt almost every day of her life but she knew she was loved and valued beyond measure. Sammie was my very first search partner and the most resilient dog I have ever known. She taught me a lot and I thank her for letting a then new handler make many mistakes during the training process. Sammie was a handful but I would do it all over again with her by my side!
