Jewel is a rescue dog. She spent the first 5 years of her life in an outdoor kennel, and then she decided to come and live with me. Lucky me!

I tell everyone we meet, she is my ambassador of good will, because she knows no strangers. She loves getting extra pets, and is noticeably sad when we walk by people and they don't take a minute to give her a little pet.

She is always happy, loves to explore (one of her nick names is "Dora the Explorer", and I believe in another life, she might have been a smaller dog--given the opportunity, she will gladly sit on your lap.

She truly is a "Jewel".
