Rules

  • Contest begins at 8:00:00 AM (Central Time) on Monday, July 1, 2024 and ends at 9:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Thursday, August 1, 2024.
  • A $10 non-refundable donation is required to submit your entry.
  • Each vote is $5 and will be collected online through our voting portal on this site.
    • Cash and Checks will also be accepted and must include the name of the entrant you wish to vote for at the time it is received by Dog-Harmony. These votes will be added manually by Dog-Harmony’s contest administrator as soon as the donation is deposited.
    • All Cash and Check donations must be received no later than August 1, 2024, by 12 pm (noon).
    • Any mailed checks received after August 1st will not go to an entrant’s votes but will be accepted as a general donation by Dog-Harmony.
  • All winners will be notified by email.
  • Only photos of dogs are accepted.
  • Photo must contain only one pet.
  • One photo per entry is allowed.
  • Photos should be high-resolution (300 dpi or greater).
  • Photos must only contain domestic dogs (no people or wildlife).
  • Due to possible copyright infringement issues, do not use photos from previous professional photography sessions not owned by you.
  • No AI generated images will be allowed.
  • Photos must be full-color and not heavily filtered, edited or altered.
  • Photos deemed offensive, indecent, or obscene by Dog-Harmony and U.S. laws will be removed from the contest and no refund will be given for the entry fee.
  • All online photo entries must be submitted before 8:45 pm on August 1, 2024.
  • A $100 personal fund raising goal (20 votes) is suggested by default, but you may raise or lower the goal to fit your ability to share your entry with friends and family.
  • Weekly Winners:
    • A prize will be awarded each week to an entry with the most votes by 9:00 pm each Saturday of the contest.
    • An entry must receive at least 15 votes to be considered for the weekly drawing. All winners will be notified by email.
    • In the event of a tie, a winner will be selected by Dog-Harmony.
    • You may win more than one weekly prize, if you meet the criteria.
    • A winner of the weekly drawing is also eligible to one of the grand prizes, if they meet the criteria for either category.
  • Grand Prize categories:
    • Top Dog: Three dogs with the highest number of votes overall. This category is based on the size of the prize: 20” x 30” plaque.
      • If you are one of the three Top Dogs, but you don't have space for a large plaque, you may select one of the Stylish Canine or Darling Diva prizes instead. Simply let us know when we contact you that you won  by email.
    • Stylish Canine: Five dogs with the next highest number of votes. This category is based on the size of the prize: ”16x 24” plaque.
      • If you are one of the five Stylish Canines, but you don't have space for a medium plaque, you may select one of the Darling Diva prizes instead. Simply let us know when we contact you that you won  by email.
    • Darling Diva: Two dogs who had tie votes with a Stylish Canine winner or the next level of high votes will win. This category is based on the size of the prize: 8” x 10” plaque.
  • Winners of the Top Dog, Stylish Canine, and Darling Diva prizes, and their owners (or appointed guardian), must be available for the photo shoot on the scheduled date and time. All winners will be notified by email. If you are unable to respond to our photo shoot scheduling requests in a timely manner, your prize may be forfeited.
  • Forfeiture of either Top Dog, Stylish Canine, or Darling Diva prizes will occur if your dog fails to attend the scheduled Wooftografie photo session. A replacement winner will be selected by Dog-Harmony and no refund will be given for your entry fee.
  • Winners are encouraged to attend the Photo Reveal Party to pick up their prize, or make shipping arrangements with Dog-Harmony.
  • By submitting your dog’s photo as an entry, you are agreeing to Dog-Harmony’s use of the photo for promotional or announcement purposes of the Bark In Style Photo Contest.
    • If you do not wish to have your pet’s photo used by Dog-Harmony, a written request to exclude your photo must be sent to us at hello@dog-harmony.org.

 Disclaimer: By submitting your dog’s photo as an entry, you are agreeing to Dog-Harmony’s use of the photo for promotional or announcement purposes of the Bark In Style Photo Contest. See our Rules page on how to opt-out of your dog’s photo being used in Bark In Style marketing.

By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work created by you and that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your entry materials. If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual, or photography studio, you are responsible for any legal action the copyright holder takes against you. Dog-Harmony is not responsible for any copyright infringements created by entrants to this contest.

By participating in the Bark In Style contest (the Contest), entrants agree to release and hold harmless Dog-Harmony, Wooftografie, and each of their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize.
