Story or Bio
Rescued at 11 weeks as a breeder discard because she was not perfect, Abby joined our family in 2001. She was our 1st Doberman. She became a therapy dog in 2003 and brought happiness and joy to everyone she met. She was an ambassador for Doberman Rescue of New Mexico for many years. She welcomed new foster dogs and helped them learn to trust, taught them how to play, how to use a doggy door, and all about basic puppy manners. She helped make them ready for new families. She loved to "mother" tiny orphan foster kittens and helped us clean them. Abby crossed the Rainbow Bridge on April 18, 2011. She has welcomed many other foster dogs, puppies and kittens, as well as several of our other family pets when it was their time to cross the Bridge. We look forward to a joyful reunion some day!
