A little about me...
Meet Sam, my incredibly talkative and loving 8.5-year-old diabetic warrior! Sam’s journey started with a surprise twist—he was part of a litter found in my friend's backyard, and he was almost adopted by a family looking for two girl kittens. But when Sam turned out to be a boy, he found his forever home with me, and I’ve never looked back! His early life wasn’t easy—he struggled with chronic constipation, rashes, and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), but through it all, his sweet and cuddly personality shone through. Sam never let those challenges stop him from being playful, affectionate, and the most forgiving cat I’ve ever met.

When Sam was diagnosed with diabetes, it was another hurdle in his journey, but he faced it like the true champion he is. He’s had to endure a lot—twice-daily insulin injections, regular ear pokes for blood sugar checks, and even the placement of a Libre glucometer every two weeks. It’s not easy for any cat, but Sam takes it all in stride, unfazed by the routine. He’s so tolerant of his treatment, it’s almost as if he knows it’s helping him feel better. His bravery and resilience through his health struggles have only made me love him more.

Despite everything, Sam has never lost his playful spirit. He loves a good game of chase and will chat endlessly about his day, always full of purrs and snuggles when it’s time to relax. He truly has the heart of a lion wrapped in the sweetest, thickest fur. Sam’s story is one of resilience, love, and unwavering courage—he’s an inspiration to me every single day.
