About this extra-sweet kitty
Rudy has been with me for over 3 years now. You would hardly recognize him when he came into the New York City shelter. He was 12 years old, very skinny and flea bitten in addition to his diabetes. He was one of the very lucky ones who made it out alive. He was fostered by cat guardian extraordinare Jennifer Feliz Alvarez and then flown to me. He is now a big boy that weighs in at 18 pounds, doubling his weight when he was rescued. He rarely needs insulin although I continue to test him every day.
