About this extra-sweet kitty
Cedric was adopted from the SPCA of Central FL at the age of 7 months back in 2006. He became my roommate and companion-he was a joy to have in my life, even when he was naughty! Many a time he would go in to the office with me and sit by the front window. In April 2011, I took him to the vet as he had been drinking water excessively. Vet diagnosed him with Feline Diabetes and we quickly became educated. Within a month he went into remission thanks to diet change. Unfortunately, by early 2013, he was back on human insulin again, trying 2 different kinds. After a DKA episode and another bout with pancreatitis, he passed away on October 2, 2013 at a specialty vet hospital due to acute necrotizing parcreatitis. He has left a large space in our hearts but his "brother from another mother" and I still miss him and think of him often - he was a true treasure.
