Please include a paragraph that tells voters something fun or interesting about the cat(s) and other animals in the photo. Which cat is diabetic? Is one or more a DCIN rescue? How long have the animals been a part of your family? Give some interesting information about the animal(s) in the photo that will encourage others to vote for your photo.
Tayo (rhymes with mayo) is my 7th diabetic, and he is up for adoption. He is a big handsome dude but is too high energy for Sunshine. I rescued him from a shelter that would have euthanized him, even though I had intended to keep Sunshine an only cat.
He is a diabetic 8 year old (going on 2!) who is heading for remission. His numbers are great! Unfortunately, Sunshine is very low energy cat and does not eat much in one sitting, so poor Tayo is in the walk in closet when no one is home so Sunshine can eat. For that reason, Tayo would be better in a home where the resident cats are meal fed, and eat everything at once.
As you can imagine, being in the walk in closet so much is making him a little nuts. He loves to play and will need regular playtime with interactive cat toys such as fishing rod type toys. Tayo is very affectionate but he can get a little overstimulated with too much attention. He would be best in a home with older kids. We do not know how he is with dogs but he is confident enough to handle them. Tayo has been a perfect gentleman to Sunshine, very respectful, and at the shelter, did not have any issues being shown other cats. If you can offer Tayo a new home, please contact lisa@dcin.info
