In December 2012, a one-eyed cat dubbed Cy (for Cyclops) was abandoned at a high kill shelter by an owner who wanted this sweet gentleman euthanized. He was initially overdosed on insulin by the shelter vet and almost did not make it. Rescued by Fancy Cat Rescue Team and fostered by Ronda Dalton he travelled from the east coast to Colorado with the help of DCIN. He was certainly a favorite of mine and I adored this easy going, loving boy. In July 2016 he passed from kidney failure and I was so sad that I only had him for a little more than 3 years. He will always be in my heart and led me to adopt another poor orange boy who was diabetic. I was so blessed to have Julius and I will never forget him.
