Please include a paragraph that tells voters something fun or interesting about the cat(s) and other animals in the photo. Which cat is diabetic? Is one or more a DCIN rescue? How long have the animals been a part of your family? Give some interesting information about the animal(s) in the photo that will encourage others to vote for your photo.
I adopted Cedric in April 2006 at the age of 7 months from the SPCA. He loved water and going to work with Mommy. Shorty after we purchased our house (seen in the photo), Cedric was diagnosed with Feline Diabetes. We made some changes in his diet, along with some Lantus insulin and he went into remission. He had a bout of pancreatitis in the summer of 2012, and needed to go back on insulin early the next year. He had a DKA episode in July 2013 and passed away October 2, 2013. He was only 8, but he loved his family - which included his new brother from another mother Dallas, whom we welcomed in 2011, his toys and his life. I always think of Cedric when I see Rainbows. I miss him every day, but he proved that an informed pet parent and vet can help extend the life of a diabetic cat.
Cedric may be at the Rainbow Bridge, but he knows your donation to DCIN will help more kitties like him. Vote for Cedric!
