This is Tiger (aka, a "Six Million Dollar Barn Cat"). She was dropped off at the barn (with her brother) when she was a tiny kitten. She spent her first 13 years as a barn cat. When she was diagnosed with Feline Diabetes we brought her home, and she spent the rest of her life as a pampered house cat. Needless to say, she thought Diabetes was the best thing that ever happened to her! :)

This photo is of her in her "testing spot"/position. Whenever she heard the microwave running she would come into the kitchen and assume this position for testing and her TREATS! I always felt guilty when I used the microwave for actual cooking, so she got treats then too. ;)

She remained insulin dependent - but mostly well controlled. And most importantly she was happy and healthy for 4 1/2 years. We lost her to cancer (Squamous Cell Carcinoma) - not Diabetes.
