Please include a short paragraph that tells voters something fun or interesting about the cat(s) and other animals in the photo. Which cat is diabetic? Is one or more a DCIN rescue? How long have the animals been a part of your family? Give some interesting information about the animal(s) in the photo that will encourage others to vote for your photo.
Kass is Keith's adopted brother since July of 2015. If we had not found help for Keith through DCIN, we would never have saved this very special boy. I saw Kass on the page with the dire statement that, if he were not adopted by the end of the week, he would be euthanized. My head told me the last thing I needed was another diabetic cat, but my heart gazed into his eyes and I felt we needed each other. I called and talked to Kathy at the clinic, who had saved him in January when he was brought in to be euthanized because of his diabetes, but the vet would keep him no longer. So, my son, Noah, and I drove the 6 hour round trip to get Kass.

Kass didn't look like the big, fluffy cat I had seen because he had been shaved due to severe matting, but his eyes were beautiful emerald green and the moment I picked him up I felt an instantaneous bond.

On paper, Kass is about 8-10, missing many teeth, diabetic, has FLUTD and is in stage 2 kidney failure, but those are just his diagnoses and don't begin to describe him.

Kass is like a kitten on a mission discovering life and love with a child-like wonderment. Kass loves his catnip blanket made by Sue, loves to play with his green mouse, loves to sleep with Noah and loves to cuddle so much I call him "my sponge" because he totally relaxes his body and melts right into me. His fur is growing back and he is thriving. For all he has been through, Kass has the heart of a lion.

Kass has finally found his forever home.
