Please include a short paragraph that tells voters something fun or interesting about the cat(s) and other animals in the photo. Which cat is diabetic? Is one or more a DCIN rescue? How long have the animals been a part of your family? Give some interesting information about the animal(s) in the photo that will encourage others to vote for your photo.
Mai Thai has been through a lot this year. She had pancreatitis in March, followed by a large abscess near her rear end in April. She had surgery to repair the abscess and install a drain. My husband and I faithfully cleaned her wound and gave her meds in addition to her normal insulin. She was such a trusting, loving kitty throughout her ordeal. Never once did she try to bite or scratch us even though it was obvious that she was in pain. We put the blue fabric cone on her so she would be able to let her wound heal. I called her my little blue flower. I would wash her face for her because she couldn't do it herself. She loved all of the attention that we gave her. We all bonded even more than we had before. She is very intelligent and we can tell that she is still very grateful and understanding that we helped her heal.
