Mr. Beasley and Twinkie were brothers and came out of a domestic violence setting and like their former mom, needed a safe place to live.
Mr. Beasley was the most perfect cat that I ever had. When he arrived, he instantly bonded with me. He followed me around, listened to what I told him and did what I asked. He always slept with me and would put his paws around my neck with his cheek on my cheek. He had the loudest motor. Even though he was with me for a short time, there was something very special about him. He was a very soulful being and touched my heart like no other.
Twinkie came to me in worse shape than Mr. Beasley. Twinkie was a lost soul and depended on Mr. Beasley for comfort, love and support. Mr. Beasley was his soul mate. The situation he was in traumatized him in such a way that he never could move past it. He was so sad and lost. After Mr. Beasley died, Twinkie started to come out of his shell and turn to me for comfort and love. He even enjoyed the simple things, such as kneading making biscuits on a blanket and he would lay with me and finally understood that he was safe and loved. Sadly, he died one month after his soul mate, Mr. Beasley.
