Your Dog's Story or Bio
Zuzu (formerly Katherine) was a "backyard breeder" dog from the North Georgia mountains. She lived the first two years of her life outdoors in a cage, crammed with other dachshunds, and being continually bred. She was malnourished and underweight when she came to the rescue group I was volunteering with. Zuzu would not let anyone touch her, and thus, no one would adopt her. After a few weeks of seeing her like this, I brought her home as a foster dog and worked with her to build her confidence and trust. She bonded to me quickly and I just had to adopt her for myself! She is now an amazing dog and has come a long way. She is a faithful, loyal and adoring companion for me. She has a loving home now and is a very happy camper!
