Your Dog's Story or Bio
In memory of our little girl, Lucy. Lucy and her best friend Freddie were DRSF rescues whom we adopted in 2013 and took to our Virginia home, then on to Maryland. Lucy was blind and mostly deaf, and her lack of teeth made for one of her most adorable traits, that her little tongue hung out all the time. Freddie fell ill suddenly and we lost him to advanced cancer, leaving Lucy without her anchor in the world, but she soon became all the more attached to us, and we to her. We lost Lucy just last week, and we are still coping with the loss as best we can. She was a good dog and we loved her more than even we ourselves knew.
